Kinja'd!!!2 Kinja'd!!! 14

The collection of stock-looking/cool-factory-cars I pulled from my childhood hot wheels storage boxes.

Kinja'd!!!

Yes I do have 3 copies of the shark nose Ferrari F1 car. Why? I do not know. There is also a Ferrari GTO, 3 F40s, a Ford GT, a Jaaaaaag D-type, a couple Countaches, some 911s including a 959, and an Escort rally car.

I've got two of those Ferraris, of a more recent vintage, though.

What are they torpedo-shaped cars?

D-Type?! I'm jealous.

I have a blue version with the opening engine, I'm not sure what wheels are on it.

I have most of those as well. My 250 Testarossa is yellow though. And I don't have any of the F40's.

You had 3 of the Sharknose because you had 1 for Hill, 1 for Von Tripps, and 1 back up car.

Do you have the Ecurie Ecosse D-Type? Looks gorgeous even in 1/64 scale.

They look to be in good condition. Many are not as kids can be hard on them.

I have a pristine collection of Matchbox cars from the mid to late 60's. They were my brothers collection and he was in a wheelchair so they saw little damage. He kept them in special cases so they could not bump into each other. I treasure the memories of him each time I pull them out to show people.

I was surprised how good of shape a lot of these "boring, factory look" cars are. Most of the cars that show damage were far out concept car designs (my favorite to play with as a kid). As a kid I didn't have any clue about the history behind these cars, I was just attracted to the designs.

Ooh, 1998 First Editions Escort Rally. I used to have that.

If that silver Porsche drop top with the red interior is a Maisto Porsche Boxster, I used to have one of those as well.
